Hello, I'm A Good Egg!

We are endeavouring to do something different with the humble
scotch egg and provide a wide and unique range of flavours
which, alongside our Great Taste award winning classic range,
also includes vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options.

Our story

Working in London during the mid 2000’s, meant you were right in the middle of the street food explosion and this was something of an awakening for our curious cook, Mark, who had never actually eaten an egg until the ripe old age of 33!

A combination of craft beer, a sudden urge to eat a scotch egg for the first time and being that curious cook, led to an obsession - how did they keep the egg runny and how can I make the best scotch egg ever!

Mark was joined on his quest by his wife, Sara and now, some years and a few thousand scotch eggs later, they feel that they have achieved something pretty special!

Based in Bedfordshire since 2021, A Good Egg are a team of passionate foodies, who all share a common goal - to make the best scotch eggs around!

We insist on using the highest quality ingredients, from higher welfare pork to the most amazing, free range, Cacklebean eggs, buying directly from the farms, where possible, so that we are able to trace the provenance.
